Mrs. Dalloway- Allie Schwall
Clarissa to me seems like she is confused and unhappy with her life. At the beginning of the novel she is preparing for her party which she has high hopes of being entertaining and well talked about by others, but by the end of the novel at her party she kind of seems like she still has those hopes but also ones of hoping it to finally be over. She puts on a pleasant front for all the guests but inside she does not seem to enjoy it as much as she is making it out to be. This rose the question of whether she hoped to commit suicide like Septimus did. If I was to answer the question I would say yes, especially since she had these thoughts towards the beginning of the novel. What are everyone's thought s about Clarissa possibly wishing it was her that commit suicide?
