With all the build up throughout the day preparing for her party, I thought it was important to notice that Clarissa was still conscious of Peter criticizing her (167). Was she still in love with Peter? The ending scene shows Peter's excitement when she entered the room, showing he is not over it, but was she? Not only was Peter still obsessing over her, her own husband was not able to say the words I love you after bringing her a bouquet. After talking about who Clarissa was better off with in class, I am still contemplating if Clarissa is really happy with her decision to marry Richard.
