I just finished up Voyage and I am really perturbed that you
never find out what the deal with Walter was. I feel like there is something
deeper going on that it seems, that he does love her but has a wife or his
friend want her for himself or something. I find it very odd that after they go
to the states Walter doesn't want Anna anymore but is willing to provide
for her monetarily. And why do they need all the letters that he has written to
her? It seems like they are trying to get rid of evidence but why? This book
gives me no closure at all especially when it comes to Walter.
I too find it very odd that Walter serves more as a supporting character. I believe the author solely put him to depict the development of Anna.
