The Awakening Part II

This book, The Awakening, would definitely show the main character named Edna who finds her freedom and rights as a woman. In the second part of the book, Edna finally finds what she wants and chooses her own life. Especially, she tells how she feels about Robert, her new lover, to Robert; she says that "I have suffered, suffered! Now you are here we shall love each other, my Robert. We shall be everything to each other. Nothing else in the world is of any consequence...; but you will wait for me?" (p. 103, Chopin). She delivers how she thinks about him and asks about his thoughts. On the other hand, I also thought that, although she found her freedom, she might abandoned her basic responsibilities such as her children as a mother. So I wondered if it was a right decision to choose her love instead of her responsibility as a mother.
